Note: This is a full-time position (35 hours per week). This position is subject to averaging of hours.
Duties: Under the supervision of the Manager, International Partnerships, the incumbent develops, plans, organizes and delivers a wide variety of international projects, activities and services for Canadian students/employees. The incumbent develops and maintains relationships with external funding agencies, overseas partner institutions, associations and internal faculties and departments to maximize student access to international learning opportunities and to ensure the value, academic integrity and safety of international learning. The incumbent also develops and implements outreach and communication strategies to inform students/employees about international opportunities and encourages/facilitates participation as well as researches and develops project proposals, grant applications, memoranda of understanding, exchange agreements and related documents to support Fanshawe's internationalization strategies and, in conjunction with academic faculties/departments, coordinates the implementation, reporting and evaluation of projects, agreements and activities.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary 4 year degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Arts or Business
· Minimum 3 years experience working in a student support role in a post-secondary education environment as well as experience teaching, learning or working internationally
· Experience in project design, proposal writing, and project implementation in a complex cross-cultural setting
· Experience in the development and maintenance of databases
· Proficiency in a second language would be an asset ( Middle Eastern language preferred)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
